To safeguard your wealth and ensure its smooth transfer to the next generation, it is necessary to change the environment in which it is held and cultivated. By moving your wealth into a tax-protected structure that complies with HMRC regulations, you minimise the tax liability for future generations, and crucially it will not form part of their estate. Moreover, the assets in the structure are fully protected from creditors, legal disputes and matrimonial settlements.

Corporate structures
Company own property and other assets can also be placed into a separate trust structure and administered by a fiduciary company (FIDCO). These assets could include excess cash reserves sitting on the balance sheet which could be subject to up to 40% tax liability. Also excess cash reserves could potentially change the trading status of the company, and thus disqualify its Business Property Relief (BPR). However, by utilising FIDCO, the trading company can safeguard its BPR status.
